Forklift working between racked aisles in a warehouse

Warehousing and Distribution

Storage, handling and onward distribution designed around your supply chain, managed by people who keep you informed as your goods arrive and leave.

Storage that fits around your supply chain

Warehousing is rarely the goal in itself. It is what lets you hold stock close to your customers, cushion your business against delays elsewhere in the supply chain, or split a large shipment into smaller deliveries.

We arrange storage and handling around how your goods move, connect it to the ocean, air and road legs of the journey, and keep you informed as goods arrive and leave.

Our warehousing and distribution services

Palletised goods being received into a warehouse

Storage

Short or longer-term storage for palletised and packaged goods, before or after the main freight leg. Suits buffer stock, goods waiting for onward shipment, and businesses moving into a new market.

Distribution

Onward delivery from storage to your customers or sites, by road, in the quantities and at the times you need. Suits businesses that receive goods in bulk and deliver in smaller orders.

Short-term or longer-term storage?

The right approach depends on how your stock moves and how long it needs to stay. As a general guide:

Short-termLonger-term
Best forGoods between freight legs, or waiting for collection or Customs clearanceStock held close to your customers or as a buffer against supply delays
PlanningArranged shipment by shipmentPlanned around your forecast volumes and order patterns
HandlingReceived, stored and released, often as whole pallets or containersRegular receiving and dispatch, often in smaller quantities
CostUsually charged for the time your goods are storedUsually agreed as ongoing rates for space and handling

If you are unsure which suits your goods, tell us how your stock moves and we will recommend an approach.
